Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual testing)

As QA Engineer at Valamis, you will work closely with our solution, the Valamis Learning Platform, and with your colleagues worldwide. We will offer you interesting and challenging testing tasks in an international atmosphere.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

• Participate in defining test cases and test plans
• Conduct product testing: regression, functional, integration, accessibility
• Document detected errors and monitor their corrections
• Participate in the continuous development of quality assurance processes
• Collaborate with the QA team and software development team, designers, and product manager

What are we looking for in our new colleague?

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on domain-relevant Software application QA testing experience.
• Experience in Integration and API Testing
• Experience in working with APIs using Postman
• Experience in working with SQL queries and database clients
• Understanding of exploratory testing techniques
• Knowledge of implementing and evaluating quality assurance standards and testing methodologies
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle and testing procedures
• Familiar with writing test plans, checklists and error reports
• Familiar with bug-tracking systems
• Experience with terminals on MacOS / Linux
• Know what design test techniques are and know how to apply them in practice.

Soft Skills

• Good social skills and you enjoy sharing knowledge with your colleagues
• Team player and a responsible team member
• Independent working style and ability to make decisions based on your knowledge and experience
• Ability to see the big picture as well as the fine details
• Able to communicate fluently in English

It will be an advantage if:

• You have experience in automation
• You have experience working with microservices-based, event-driven architecture
